  1. Hi everyone. How do you read the serial numbers to Apens guitars? I need to know the year my D-15 was manufactured. Appreciate the help anyone can give me.

  2. I bought a D-28 Aspen for $25 at a Goodwill store in Santa Maria, CA in about 1996-97. It had a large hole on the left lower bout like it had been bashed hard against something. But I liked the neck playability with low action. I repaired the hole and put a good used set of Grover tuners on it. Years later a repairman fixed a broken brace inside. This guitar still plays great now 25 years later and seems extremely durable and solidly built. I love it!!

  3. I bought an Aspen guitar in Salina, Kansas in about 1978. Still have it and play nearly every day.

  4. Question for Mike or others:
What kind of strings should I use on my “new” 1970’s Aspen 12 string?

  5. My first guitar, 1970’s Aspen D28. I bought it used in San Diego in 1976. I still have it (May 2022) and play it almost everyday. Through the years the tone just gets sweeter and sweeter.
