Today we will present you a list containing ten of the most popular contemporary violin songs – a must-watch for those who appreciate the sound of the violin and its versatility.

The first song on our list is “Elements” by the violinist Lindsey Stirling. The long awaited-recording was a huge success since its launch on YouTube and is performed by the composer herself.
It is based on the four elements of nature: water, air, earth and fire. In dubstep style, it is very rhythmical and uses electronic instruments and is accompanied by the bass and drums.

The second song of our list is peformed by the star violinist and composer Hanine, from Lebanon. It is called “Nostalgia” and starts with a dark and mysterious mood; suddenly the violin takes over singing a tango-like melody.
The Latin style is then replaced by an arabic atmosphere, with the typical use of a fully ornamented arabic orchestration. The two contrasting styles match so well to create this atmosphere of love and passion.

Our next song is “Palladio”, written by Karl Jenkins. Its name is a reference to the Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. Featured in this performance is the Asturia Quartet, a group of four Ukrainian musicians with more than 90 million subscribers on YouTube.
“Palladio”, which is very popular worldwide, is often performed by young violinists because of its simple melody, yet beautiful, dramatic and enthusiastic, being a perfect fit for the aspiring musicians who love playing in ensembles.

The fourth song in our list was written and performed by star-violinist Divanessa. The young musician, who was born in Canada but grew up in Lebanon, got international recognition after the launch of her album “Longa V”.
Multitalented, she is able to sing and dance at the same time, a rare skill that few people in the world have mastered.
The original video clip featuring the song “Longa V”, which has the same name as the album in which it appears, was first published in 2017 and is a fine example of the modern Eastern Pop violin style, having reached about 5 million views.

The young Caitlin De Ville, born in Zambia but currently based in South Africa, is a very successful violinist with more than 700.000 subscribers on YouTube. She gained international recognition very quickly despite her young age.
Her song “The Conquest” is the fifth in our list, with more than 2 million views. In fact, she has one of the most popular YouTube channels in South Africa, despite being a relatively new channel.

The Vitamin Quartet could not be out of our list. They recently recorded a video called “Black Swan” in partnership with choreographer and dancer Montay Romero.
