1. Voice Cutting In and Out

Voice cutting is the most common issue with this amp system, and in most cases, the battery is to be blamed. The headset has been connected with the battery on both its connectors and it needs to be charged to ensure uninterrupted music streaming.

However, if the battery’s charge is low, the voice will cut, which is why charging the battery is recommended.

It’s better that you charge the battery before starting the recording to prevent such accidents. On the contrary, if the battery isn’t charging, there are chances that the battery is dead and needs to be replaced.

2. Connectivity Problems

Since Waza-Air is a wireless system, connectivity is an important factor. In most cases, the users are unable to pair the system with music gear, and reset is the only solution.

The headset has been designed with a reset button, so press it while pressing the pair button. During the pairing process, the LED will flash in green color and it will turn solid green when the pairing is complete.

This will not only reset the system but also keep the pairing intact.

3. Distortion

Since there are no cables in this system, distortion is highly unlikely to happen. However, if you have a distortion in the sound, you need to check the connector and make sure it’s not loose.

The connector can become loose if you move it too much or if the jack is damaged. So, try to tighten up the connector, and if it doesn’t, you need to get the jack replaced (the jack is where the connector is installed).

On the other hand, if the connector is connected and distortion is still there, you have to check the intonation. To check the intonation, you need to compare the 12th fret note’s pitch to the natural harmonic.

4. App Is Not Making The Bluetooth Connection

However, some users have been complaining that the app doesn’t make a Bluetooth connection once they update the smartphone to the Android 10 version.

7. Waza-Air Doesn’t Appear In The Available Devices List Of Bluetooth

If the Waza-Air is not showing up in the “available device” list on the Bluetooth page, there are chances that the headset is disabled. In that case, the Bluetooth LED indicator will be off.

So, it’s suggested that you long-press the Bluetooth LED indicator on the headset to turn it on.

In addition to this, you should reboot the headset to make sure the connectivity glitches are fixed. When the headset turns on, press the Bluetooth indicator and it will appear on the Bluetooth screen.

8. Sound Doesn’t Come From The Headset

However, if it doesn’t work, you must check the radio reception status. For this purpose, connect the headset to the app, and open the System tab on the app.

From the System tab, click on the “guitar wireless” option and check the status of radio reception. Then, check the indicator light on the headset, and if the reception is happening, it will glow in white color.

On the other hand, this indicator light will be off if there is no reception. If it’s off, there is something wrong with the transmitter, which is why a transmitter replacement is recommended.

9. Sound’s Stereo Position Keep Drifting

If the stereo position of sound keeps drifting, you need to check the direction of the head. This problem occurs when you don’t use horizontal rotation on the head.

The horizontal rotation is the default position, so press the up and down buttons simultaneously to revert the sound position to the default settings.

10. Communication Error Occurs While Switching The Effect Patches

The only solution is to close the Boss app and turn off the headset. Then, re-pair the headset to the app and switch the effect patch.

11. Sound Has High-Frequency Noise

So, if you are hearing high-frequency noise in the headset, it is caused by the damaged internal circuitry of the guitar (it’s not an error with the headset).

12. Battery LED Is Blinking Red

The red blinking light on the battery indicator signals a charging error. In the majority of cases, a rise in the transmitter’s internal temperature stops the charging temporarily to make sure the battery doesn’t get damaged.

This is why it’s better that you let the headset rest for a few minutes to make sure the temperature is normalized. Lastly, never use the headset in a room where the temperature is more than 30 degrees Celsius.

  1. I have seven guitars and one bass. The transmitter works in the bass (Fender jazz), one strat and one tele. The button on the transmitter does not make contact with the cable jack. I have adjusted the jacks on three of my strats with no luck. BOSS is unresponsive to inquiries.

  2. I think the biggest problem is that the transmitter doesn’t fit Ibanez guitars. I have an Ibanez guitar and an Ibanez bass, and the transmitter is too short to plug into the recessed jack on either of them. I contacted Roland and they told me to go buy a cable. How can they get away with that. In the Roland FAQ when directly asked “Do you need a cable” they answered No, no cable required. “Truly wireless” they said. No asterix, no except for, no unless.   3. Playback music from iOS to the WZA Air headset at via Bluetooth some point in time start to be disturbed.
