The sound is generated in a similar fashion to a traditional acoustical piano, by striking one of the 88-keys on the keyboard.

The FP-30 was created using Roland’s PHA-4 key technology which includes an ivory-like feel to the keys and with its gradual pressure-sensitive keys the sound will change as you continue to press harder the sound changes.
